For fixing at 600mm centres ( maximum) each board requires 6 clips and 6 screws. Each pack of 4 boards will include 24 screws and 24 clips. For horizontal applications additional clips are required at base of cladding.
For horizontal cladding. How many extra clips are needed?
To calculate simply measure the length of the base of the cladding remembering to include areas above windows and doors. Take this total, multiply by 2 and then add 1.

Yes. As this is essentially a timber product it moves like timber. The movement is caused by humidity and not temperature. Joints between boards must be minimum of 8mm and joint at abutments to other materials must be minimum of 5mm. Fixing clips provided will accommodate movement if the positioning tool is utilised. One fixed point closest to centre of each board is created by pre-drilling hole and fixing with a small flat headed nail. This will co-ordinate movement and ensure that expansion joints are consistent.
Absolutely- this is an essential requirement of the product. For horizontal application the boards are fixed to vertical timber battens allowing free flow of ventilation from base to head. For vertical application boards are fixed to horizontal battens which are fixed to vertical counter battens. Ventilation is required at the rate of 50 cm/m ( continuous 5mm) at both base and head of cladding. Trims are available to prevent vermin ingress.
No other than normal site protective wear and face masks when sawing boards.
